The natural world and our future.
The above subjects are inextricably bound together but the links are all too often overlooked. Its not us and them - its all of us, every living thing on this planet, in it together for the long haul.
Welcome to a small site that introduces my work and details some of the things I am involved in. It is the exploration of the title of this page that drives me. It drives me to work outdoors and in and with people who are also exploring our environment and our right (if any) to a future in it. I am a member of a generation who collectively are living and will live through unprecedented change. Perhaps that is a statement applicable to every generation that has gone before but no change in the history of humanity comes close to even the conservative predictions of biodiversity loss, population growth and resource use over the next 75 years. Whilst I am acutely aware of these and many other 'issues' that make for sobering reading I believe that we must not allow ourselves to be stifled by the inherent negativity of our situation but instead focus on and support those around us who are positive and are making moves toward change.
If you are here as a result of having been given my web address then I hope you find all you need, if you have stumbled across this site whilst grazing the net then I hope you find something of interest or at least enjoy some of the pictures.
I am based in Dorset near Sturminster Newton. Most of the environmental contracts that I carry out are in Dorset, Somerset and Devon but as with my link to Iceland i will travel if i feel that it can be justified. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss anything that you see in these pages.
